The short version
We collect what we need to run your programs, bill you, and keep the service working. Nothing more.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your code to train anything. We do not read it except when we have to in order to fix a problem you have asked us about.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, and the display name and picture your sign-in provider gives us. If you sign in with a third-party account, we receive an identifier for it so we can recognise you next time.
Your code: the files you deploy, kept as versions so you can go back to an earlier one.
Configuration values: the settings and secrets your program needs. These are encrypted before they are stored and are never shown back to you or to any tool you connect — they can be replaced, not read.
Operational data: whether a program is running, how much memory it is using, when it restarted, and the output it prints.
Activity: a record of actions taken on your account — deploys, restarts, configuration changes — including whether you or a connected tool did it.
Billing: we use a payment processor. Card details go to them, not to us. We keep a record of your plan and payment status.
What we do with it
Run your programs and show you what they are doing.
Restart something that stopped, and move it if the machine it was on fails.
Bill you, and tell you when a payment needs attention.
Investigate a problem you have reported, or abuse we have detected.
Understand how the service is used in aggregate so we can improve it.
What we never do
Sell your personal information, or share it with advertisers.
Use your code or your program output to train machine-learning models.
Read your logs or files out of curiosity. Access is limited to the people who need it and happens when there is a reason — an incident, or a support request from you.
Who else sees it
Service providers who help us operate: hosting, storage, payments, email delivery, and error reporting. They are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.
Anyone you connect. If you link a coding assistant to your account, it can see the programs and logs you have given it access to. You control that, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Authorities, where we are legally required. We will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
A buyer or successor, if the business changes hands. Your data stays subject to a policy no weaker than this one.
How long we keep it
Your code and its versions: while your account is open, and for a short window afterwards in case you come back.
Logs from a running program: a rolling window, then overwritten. They are not an archive.
Activity records: kept longer, because they are what lets you and us reconstruct who changed what.
Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
When you delete a program or your account, we remove the content it holds. Backups age out on their own schedule shortly afterwards.
Security
Secrets are encrypted before storage. Traffic to us is encrypted in transit.
Each program runs isolated from every other, with a hard ceiling on the resources it can use.
Access to production is limited and recorded.
No system is perfect. If something happens that affects you, we will tell you promptly and plainly.
Your choices
See what we hold, correct it, or ask for a copy.
Delete a program, or your whole account, from settings.
Disconnect any tool you have linked, at any time.
Ask us to delete data we hold about you, subject to records we are required to keep.

Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in. That is what it is for — it is not used to track you across other sites.
We do not run advertising trackers.
Where data is held
The service runs on infrastructure in more than one country, and your data may be processed outside the country you are in.
Wherever it is processed, it is protected by the commitments in this policy.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
